Y-Zone 4-year cycle
The essential Bible stories for the age group are built into a four-year cycle, divided into themes that cover six sessions. Most of the stories will have been included in the KidZone sessions for the 5-9s part of the Children’s Ministry Teaching Programme, but your young people's will be returning to the Bible passage after several years of mental, emotional and spiritual development and will be able to take away deeper or new truths from the same passage of scripture. Sometimes, in Y-Zone, we also introduce new Bible passages that are appropriate only for the older age group.
Of course Christmas and Easter are celebrated every year, and so we have provided two five-session modules for each festival.
You can now choose which themes you want to teach at any time.
Where stocks are available, you can purchase the printed materials as 12-session units (each containing two 6-session themes), otherwise you can purchase downloads for 6-session themes. Gradually we will make the whole cycle available as downloads. For more infomation on downloading Y-Zone click here.
Below we set out the whole cycle for Y-Zone in the order we suggest you teach it in - but feel free to set your own sequence for the sessions. We have indicated which sessions have printed materials available and which are available as downloads. The cycle is matched by the KidZone cycle which has the same topics. The MiniZone two-year cycle also relates to the KidZone and Y-Zone cycles.
