In these five sessions children are helped to see Christmas is not a set of stories isolated from the rest of Biblical truth. They place Jesus clearly and firmly in time and history as the Saviour planned and sent by God to redeem the world he made, and its people.
The first session looks at the family prepared for Jesus through the lineage of David. Session 2 focuses on God's promise of a saviour through Old Testament prophets. Session 3 shows God fulfiling his promise and doing the impossible, in bringing Jesus to birth. In session 4 children are encouraged to celebrate with the shepherds and join in the awesome celebration with the angels. Finally session 5 helps children think what worship means and how they can bring their own individual worship to Jesus.
