Season Themes: Following God’s Plan / A Heart for God - Stories from 1 Samuel, 2 Samuel and 1 Kings
Sessions 1-6: Following God's Plan God’s plan was that his people would be a nation under God, led by prophets who would hear the word of the Lord. Unfortunately, the people rebelled and wanted a king, just like every other nation. Saul started well, but his heart wasn’t in it, so God replaced him with David. He was a good king, obeying God and leading the people well, with many battles and exploits. Later, he fell into sin, but repented and was restored. Meanwhile, Saul was not content to have been passed over.
